Home Energy & Water Evaluation Backpack Workshop in Amelia Island!

Join us for this FREE one-hour workshop to learn how to do your own home energy and water audit so you can save money on your utility bill this summer!

The Green Team ProjectJEA, and Nassau County Public Libraries have partnered together to bring Nassau County residents access to Home Energy and Water Evaluation Kits.  These backpacks are available to be checked out from any library in the county and include all the tools you need to conduct a Do-It-Yourself energy and water audit.

Did you know that the typical home has 2 sq. feet of air leaks (areas where air is coming in and out)? This is like leaving a window raised open 1 ft. all summer long!

Sign up for a workshop today!   You and your family will learn ways to save money by using your energy and water more efficiently.  Also, we'll also help you get off to a great start to do your own audit using the backpack kit. It’s fun, easy to use, and available free for checkout to anyone with a Nassau County Public Library Card.*  A limited number of backpacks will be available at this workshop for checkout- RSVP early!

Meeting Location Special Note-  The Workshop will take place in The Compass Group Conference Room, Suite 201K.

Thanks to Ron and Lisa Flick of the Compass Group and Randy Rice of Rice Architecture, LLC for their support of this event!  Get workshop directions here.

If you have any questions, please contact Carrie-Lynn Black, Green Team Project NE FL Program Coordinator, at cblack@greenteamproject.org or call (904) 348-0718.

*Backpacks are available to anyone with a St. Johns County Public Library Card at the Bartram Trails and Ponte Vedra Beach Branches.  Backpacks are also available to anyone with a Duval or Nassau County Public Library Card at any library branch in their respective county.
