JEA Home Energy Evaluation Backpack Workshops are back in Duval County and better than ever!

Now backpacks have water evaluation tools!

In Duval County, the Green Team Project and JEA have expanded the backpack program to include water use evaluation tools.  Now you will have the tools to:

  • Find water leaks and estimate their water costs
  • Check if your faucets and appliances are water efficient
  • Determine if your irrigation system is watering efficiently

The backpacks still include the great energy efficiency measuring tools to help you conserve energy, identify problem areas in your home, and tips on how to fix them!

Constantly adjusting the thermostat?  Want to find ways to lower your energy bill?  See your water bill and wonder where all that water goes?

Sign up for this one-hour workshop!
You and your family can learn about conserving energy and water by showing you how to use the JEA “Do-It-Yourself” Home Energy & Water Efficiency Backpack Kit. It’s fun, easy to use, and available for free to anyone with a Jacksonville Public Library Card.*

Backpacks will be available at this workshop for checkout. This is a great project to do with the whole family where everyone can learn how to be an energy and water detective in your home.
